Plain-language status: the public directory is operating. Donations, personal need intake, user accounts, provider dashboards, volunteer registration, and case management are not operating through this website.
1. What RWN currently provides
RWN helps a visitor discover public information about essential services, review practical access details, open the original source, and launch a map provider. Search, filters, saved-service identifiers, optional distance sorting, sharing, printing, and downloads run in the visitor’s browser.
RWN is not emergency dispatch, a service provider, an eligibility authority, a healthcare provider, or a guarantee that a listed service has space when someone arrives.
2. What the coverage numbers mean
Coverage is not evenly distributed. Some markers represent a physical service entrance; others represent an official locator or a network with wider reach. RWN labels these types separately so a national directory is not mistaken for a walk-in location.
The number of records is not an impact claim. RWN does not currently claim how many people obtained help because of the directory.
3. Open directory data
The complete published directory is available without operating the 3D globe. These exports contain public service facts, coordinates, review dates, and source URLs; they do not contain visitor information.
Reuse should preserve the original provider source and the review date. Service details can change, so downstream users should recheck the source before presenting hours, eligibility, or availability as current.
4. How listings are controlled
Every published record must include a stable identifier, service or locator name, public place or coverage description, coordinates, listing type, aid categories, access information, source name, HTTPS source URL, and ISO-formatted review date.
Release checks reject duplicate identifiers, invalid coordinates, unsafe source protocols, missing operational fields, implausible dates, and broken production builds. Human review remains necessary because automated checks cannot decide whether a provider page actually supports the wording of a listing.

5. Privacy and accessibility
The site has no account, advertising network, marketing cookie, analytics SDK, personal case form, or donation processor. Optional device location is used in memory for distance sorting; saved service IDs remain in local browser storage. See the Privacy Notice.
The 3D globe is supplementary. The text directory exposes every listing without WebGL or application JavaScript. RWN is engineering toward WCAG 2.2 Level AA but does not claim formal conformance. See the Accessibility Statement.
6. Governance and organizational status
A professional humanitarian organization should publish its legal entity, jurisdiction, registration or tax status, leadership and board accountability, public contact routes, safeguarding owner, complaints process, financial reports, funding disclosures, conflicts policy, and measurable impact methodology.
Those organization-level facts have not been verified for publication on this site. RWN therefore does not present invented officers, registration numbers, donation totals, partner endorsements, beneficiary counts, annual reports, or a legal address.
Required before expansion: authorized leadership and counsel must verify the entity and public contacts, assign safeguarding and correction responsibilities, approve the public policies, and establish financial controls before the site accepts money or personal requests.
7. Technology and map provenance
RWN is a static website hosted on Vercel. The application does not require an RWN database to search the directory. Production releases run automated syntax, data, test, and build checks and use restrictive browser security headers.
The globe uses locally hosted NASA Blue Marble imagery and Natural Earth country geometry. A lightweight boundary layer loads first; more detailed 1:10m geometry loads only when someone zooms closer. Natural Earth boundaries are generalized and can reflect cartographic viewpoints; they are not legal or navigational authority.
